Richard Prince, M.D. is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and Cataract Surgeon in Philadelphia at Tri-County Eye Physicians & Surgeons in Bucks County. Since joining Tri-County Eye Physicians & Surgeons in 1987, Dr. Prince has been performs Cataract Surgery in Philadelphia for Cataract patients from throughout greater Philadelphia and Bucks County at the Tri-County Surgery Center in Southampton Pennsylvania, a Pennsylvania licensed and Medicare Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center that has been fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Dr. Prince received his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He holds the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Scheie Eye Institute where he is involved in teaching Cataract Surgery to new eye surgeons at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
As a well known teacher and Philadelphia Cataract Surgeon in Bucks County, Dr. Prince performs modern eye surgery techniques to treat Cataracts in Philadelphia and Bucks County that require only a very tiny incision, no patches and only eye drops for anesthesia-the “no stitch, no patch, no needle” Cataract Surgery procedure-so that his patients can benefit from very quick visual recovery times with minimal interruption in their daily routines.

These include aspheric lens implants for those Cataract patients requiring the sharpest distance vision in dim lighting conditions, astigmatism correcting toric lens implants for those Cataract patients with significant amounts of astigmatism, and near vision presbyopia correcting lens implants, such as the Crystalens® Intraocular Lens Implant (IOL) and the AcrySof® ReSTOR® Intraocular Lens Implant (IOL) for those Cataract patients wishing to have a fuller range of vision without eyeglasses after their Cataract Surgery.
Dr. Prince is a past-President of the Ophthalmic Club of Philadelphia. He has served as Chairman and member of the Board of Governors and Treasurer of the Medical Staff, Warminster Hospital. Dr. Prince is the current Medical Director of Tri-County Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center. He is certified by and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Prince has twice been designated (1996, 2002) as a “Top Doc” by Philadelphia Magazine.
