Daniel J. O'Connor, M.D. is a Cataract Surgeon in Plymouth, Massachusetts and a Founder of Post, O'Connor & Kadrmas Eye Centers. He performs Cataract Surgery in Plymouth at the Plymouth Laser and Surgery Center for Cataract patients throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Cap Cod area as well as throughout Massachusetts. Dr. O'Connor received his Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at The Eye and Ear Institute of the University of Pittsburgh. In addition he completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma at Yale University School of Medicine where he also served as Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. O'Connor provides his patients with advanced techniques of Cataract Surgery in Massachusetts that require only a very tiny incision, no patches and only eye drops for anesthesia-the "no stitch, no patch, no needle" Cataract Surgery procedure-so that his patients can benefit from very quick visual recovery times with minimal interruption in their daily routines.

Dr. O'Connor has been serving patients in Plymouth, Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod - performing over 20,000 microsurgical and laser eye procedures since 1994. During this time, he has continued to participate in clinical research projects concerning new ophthalmic medications for the treatment of Glaucoma. Further, Dr. O'Connor has been actively involved in many levels of ophthalmic research including animal studies, surgical procedures and pharmaceutical trials. These projects have led to over 50 publications and seminar presentations on ophthalmic and surgical issues. He has lectured nationally on various methods of detecting and treating eye diseases, both surgically and medically.
Dr. O'Connor is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons and an active member of many other professional boards and societies including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Ophthalmology Outpatient Surgery Society and the New England Ophthalmology Society.
