He has served as Program Director at Cornell-North Shore University Hospital on Long Island and serves on the Editorial Board of five eye surgery journals and is the Surgical Director of the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island. He has served as President of the Nassau Surgical Society and he has served on the Board of Directors of the Nassau Academy of Medicine, the American College of Surgeons, Long Island Chapter, and the Nassau Surgical Society.
