Randy Burks, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an Oculoplastic, Refractive & Cataract Surgeon in Ft. Lauderdale Florida at Ophthalmology Consultants with offices in Margate where he performs Cataract Surgery in Ft. Lauderdale for Cataract patients from throughout southeastern Florida at the Outpatient Surgery Center of Coral Springs. Dr. Burks is a well-respected eye surgeon in greater Ft. He received his Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. In addition, prior to joining Ophthalmology Consultants in Ft. Lauderdale, Dr. Burks completed a Fellowship in Eye Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Burks has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology- Director of Residency Training-Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Assistant Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology at University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, Texas and Assistant Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology-Uniformed Services University of Health Science, Washington, D.C.

Dr. Burks is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and has served as the Past President of the Broward County Ophthalmology Society and Board of Trustees of Northwest Medical Center and currently serves as Chief of Staff of Outpatient Surgery Center of Coral Springs. Dr. Burks has been awarded numerous professional honors including the Surgeon General's Award for an outstanding paper, presented at the Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons Annual Meeting and being selected "Flight Surgeon of The Year" in the United States Air Force Reserve.
